This town in Ohio was a top 100 city in the US one hundred years ago, but now is home to two Walmarts and abandoned homes in the city core. The Turner Foundation is adding a new regional hospital Center, and the city needs a new plan. We were asked to think about "New Nature," and over the course of seven weeks, we were to come up with a proposal. I suggested re-alignment of the Hospital on the grid and many amendments to the town to stabilize vulnerable elderly, patients, visitors, and staff and students.
It worked! I returned 15 years later - People have moved whole extended families there together.
